Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Schedule: Work schedule follows a 2-2-3 pattern (two days on, two days off, three days on), rotating between day and night shifts. Pay: $38 - $42 an hour, DOE Position Overview This role is primarily a rotating shift assignment after training is completed. Successful completion of the Work Keys test is required (tests will be administered as needed). The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and protocols. Troubleshoot failures and breakdowns of electrical equipment and instrumentation; quickly diagnose and resolve issues. Perform planned work including repairs, preventative maintenance, installation, and commissioning of new electrical equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation/maintenance manuals. Work with a sense of urgency and minimal supervision. Install conduit, cable, and electrical equipment as needed. Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, motor starters, relays, solenoid valves, flow instruments, electrical motors, circuits, proximity sensors, thermocouples, electric heaters, VFDs, and related components. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience Prefer experience as a journeyman electrician and journeyman instrumentation technician. Required Skills & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without accommodation. Ability to walk up and down stairs (20–30 steps). Ability to climb straight ladders (15–18 feet). Ability to push/pull items on rollers or carts. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Targeted Outcomes Efficient troubleshooting and resolution of electrical/instrumentation issues. Completion of planned maintenance and installation tasks.
