Service Technician OverviewSince Frontier technologies acts as a job shop, Service Technicians perform various tasks. We are looking for mechanically inclined, problem solvers to join our team. Common projects include:Prepping material for industrial paintingIndustrial painting/sandblasting/spraying thermally sprayed zincPackaging finished goods for shipmentMoving material throughout the facility via forklifts and overhead cranesBasic oil maintenance on 65K gearboxesAssembling and disassembling mechanical projectsRepairing and reworking customer's equipmentGrinding and sanding materialPerforming preventative maintenanceAssisting with quality control checks Service Technician ResponsibilitiesFollow Company Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA Guidelines, and use proper PPEEnsure the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required workFollow work instructions for preparing parts to be painted and paint to customer and SDS specificationsAssist other technicians in skilled duties that may include sandblasting, running overhead cranes or operating heavy machineryComplete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis Other job duties as directed by Site Manager or General Manager QualificationsPossess a High School Diploma or equivalentMechanical AptitudeAble to read and interpret work instructionsFluent in both written and spoken EnglishPerform basic Math skillsAble to accurately read/use a tape measureBasic computer skillsAble to identify and operate basic hand tools and small power toolsCommitted to completing assigned tasks with a high degree of quality and on timeComfortable working in an environment with evolving customer prioritiesAble to identify safe and creative solutions to solve customer challengesAble to work overtime as neededA "self-motivated" team playerAble to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditionsAble to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easilyAble to travel to customer sitesMust be an insurable driverMust pass a background check and drug testBenefits Competitive compensationMedical, dental, vision, life insurance and pet insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsEmployee assistance program and Health wellness programs 401(k) immediately with a competitive matchSeveral paid holidays and paid time off that includes personal, sick and vacation time DISCLAIMER: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
