This role is part of Kimberly-Clark's investment in creating new jobs and expanding its capabilities to produce premium Scott--, Cottonelle--, and Kimberly-Clark Professional-- products that are essential to millions of lives around the world, and right here in Mobile.-- It starts with YOU.The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Intern position is designed for individuals who have acquired the specific technical knowledge from a formal Electrical / Instrumentation curriculum yielding a two-year Technical Degree, but lack the experience required to be considered for the fully experienced E&I Technician position.---- The qualified E&I Intern position will be responsible for the safe operation and repair of electrical power and control systems and will perform preventative, routine and troubleshooting E&I maintenance in a high-speed manufacturing facility while ensuring a safe and multi-functional team environment.----In this role you will:

• Work safely in a multi-functional team environment.
• Learn and use new Reliability skills and techniques.
• Be familiar with the troubleshooting process for electrical circuits and devices and capable of using techniques to analyze problems and resolve failures when they occur.
• Be able to change direction or plans with little to no notice, to build effective relationships, and to make good use of available resources.
• Be able to constructively give "peer-to-peer" feedback in order to encourage and improve upon a continuous improvement culture.
• Be able to confront problems and handle conflict.

  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Have a two-year Technical Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation concentrating in "Key Studies" such as Programmable Logic Control, Motor Controls, Distributed Control Systems, Variable Frequency Drives, and Process Control.-- Successful candidate must be able to show the related Curriculum studied that produced the Technical Degree OR, successful completion of a formal, Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program that concentrated in the Electrical & Instrumentation field with the same "Key Studies" listed.
  • Are proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
  • Are an effective Communicator (speaker and listener) in small groups and one-on-one.
  • Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening
  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)You will also have knowledge of the following "Key Study" areas to be considered for the E&I Intern position:
