Job Description:

A company is looking for an Independent Medical Reviewer - Clinical Appeals Consultant - Coding (CD).
Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth medical record reviews for revenue recoupment opportunities
Provide well-written appeal arguments based on clinical evidence and coding guidelines
Complete all assigned tasks within due dates and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy regulations

Qualifications:

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential
At least 2 years of inpatient coding experience
Knowledge of third-party payer requirements and basic CMS rules and regulations
At least one year of experience writing coding appeals
Preferred experience in outpatient coding and professional billing
