Hargrove is seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join the team oniste in Pascagoula, Mississippi!! Field work is required. 9/80 work schedule.
Ideal Background
Education : Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
Responsibilities for this position include :

• 
  
• 
  Provides piping design support for shutdown/turnaround projects, routine maintenance, and capital installations.
  
  
• 
  Provides completed design packages that meet Safety in Designs requirements, pipe specifications and Chevron Engineering Standards.
  
  
• 
  Coordinates with Designs Engineers to determine job scope and generate design packages.
  
  
• 
  Forecasts project completion dates for sharing with Lead Piping Designer, customers, and Designs Engineering Team Leaders.
  
  
• 
  Supports the adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
  
  
• 
  Provides quality solutions for piping designs that follow Chevron Engineering Standards and piping specifications.
  
  
• 
  Participates in Loss Prevention System (LPS). Submits and supports Loss Prevention tools to improve team safety, product quality and efficiency.
  
  
• 
  Collects as-built information from refinery process units to support drawing updates and/or design packages.
  
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Minimum 4-6 years ( 10-12 years for Sr. postion ) Piping Design experience or minimum of 4 years Piping Design experience plus 4 years of related field experience in a manufacturing environment.
    
    
  • 
    Minimum of 2 years design experience in onshore oil and gas.
    
    
  • 
    Experience collecting as-built information in operating facilities.
    
    
  • 
    Minimum of 3 years of experience with AutoCAD software.
    
    
  • 
    Minimum of 2 years of experience with 3D modeling software ( CadWorx software preferred ).
    
    
  • 
    Experience developing and maintaining Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated drawings.
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Experience working in a refinery.
      
      
    • 
      Solid knowledge of CadWorx plant modeling software.
      
      
    • 
      Strong knowledge of AutoCAD software.
      
      
    • 
      Minimum of 1 year experience with laser scanning and use of laser scan output for completing design packages.
      
      
    • 
      Ability to develop BOMs to support design packages.
      
      
    • 
      Strong knowledge of laser scanning tools and methods.
