Job Description:
The A/P Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and
clerical support to Accounting Department personnel. Maintains
accounting document files related to all corporate accounts'
payable invoices and intercompany payables. Keys daily entries to
the accounting system related to accounts payable, including
intercompany payables. Responsible for managing account payables,
creating detailed reports, and initiating check runs, all
companies. Assist with UPS processing and billings and all office
supply purchasing. Assists accounting personnel as requested. Other
duties include but are not limited to:Keys daily accounts payable
invoices to corporate accounting systemReconcile vendor statements,
research and correct discrepanciesAssist to resolve disputed items
and answer questionsMaintains files, including filing of accounts
payable documentationPrints daily accounts payable checks and
inserts checks and invoices into envelopes for mailingPrepares
requisitions for office, computer, and routine supply
purchasesAssist with the UPS billing, reporting and uploading
processMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately,
in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting
practicesAssist with other projects as neededRequirementsHigh
School Diploma or GED required.College degree highly preferred and
/ or college courses in accounting highly preferredProven knowledge
of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and
procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate
proceduresExcel and Word skills a mustGood verbal and written
communication skills as well as professional telephone skills
requiredDetailed oriented and reliableAbility to work independently
and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with
emphasis on accuracy and timelinessAbility to interact with
employees and vendors in a professional mannerMust have strong work
ethicMust be well organized and a self-starterMust be able to

Conditions:The physical demands and work environment

phone/headset to communicate with customers; be able to navigate,
view and enter information into the computer.
