Java DeveloperUnited StatesInformation TechnologyFeb 21, 2023Post Date23200371Requisition #Apply for JobShare this JobSign Up for Job AlertsCTG is seeking to fill aJava Developeropening for our client based in Buffalo, NY.Location:RemoteDuration:8 months, with potential for extension or hirePay Rate:Based on experienceJob Summary:This position is responsible for the development, integration, and maintenance of internal and consumer-facing applications.Essential Functions:* Design and implementation of applications for both internal and consumer-facing platforms. * Collaborates with team members, provides work estimates and reports project status using agile development principles. * Writes and executes unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and correctness. * Ensures that delivered solutions meet stated functional and business requirements.Education and Experience:* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experienceRequired Experience:* Solid understanding of Object-oriented principles and design patterns * Strong Java and Spring Framework experience * Experience with implementing RESTful Web Services, both client (Spring RestTemplate) and server side (Spring MVC, Jackson) * Experience with modern Javascript and web frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc.) * Experience working with distributed version control systems (Mercurial or Git) * Relational data modeling (SQL, Spring JdbcTemplate) * Maven build tool experience * Linux proficiencyPreferred Experience:* Experience with Docker * Experience with dynamic PowerPoint generation using template files or Apache POI * Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern web client frameworks/tools (Angular, Bootstrap, etc.) * Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP)Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.CTG does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee based recruitment services for this role.To Apply:To be considered, please apply directly to this requisition using the link provided.
