Job Description:
Title:System Administrator ABOUT THIS POSITION The successful
System Administrator (SA) candidate will be part of the distributed
KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC)
Big Data (BD) and Knowledge Management (KM) Team. As a SA, you will
be a critical part of our BDKM team responsible for evaluating
customer requirements pertaining to complex big data analytic
challenges. This team provides analytical services and solutions to
various DoD testing Ranges and acquisition programs. Systems being
maintained will consist of an ESXi Hypervisor hosting: Windows,
Linux, SQL Server, Active Directory, NTP, etc. with minimal
administration of Postgres, MySQL, Hadoop, Hive, and suite of
Horton Works tools. Responsibilities: + Work with the distributed
team consisting of: data engineers, data scientists, software
engineers, network engineers, and cybersecurity team members to
support TRMC's big data research and development testing
environment. + Take over all aspects of the configuration,
maintenance, and cybersecurity of: ESXi Hypervisor and hosted
servers, virtual desktops, PKI remote zero client infrastructure,
and Local Area Network (LAN)s. + Use their experience and
problem-solving skills to provide solutions to complex problems in
a manner which meets both functional and security requirements.
Primary duty will be the system administration of the environment
to include maintaining the cybersecurity of the system. + Keep the
team's testing environment operational and in compliance with all
TRMC directives and applicable RMF requirements. + Frequently work
with other distributed team members to discuss current system
status and desired future enhancements. + Administration of:
Computer systems hardware, network gear, software, information
systems & peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, zero
clients, storage devices, and virtualization infrastructure. +
Maintain, install, upgrade and configure data systems
(Windows/Linux/VMWare/SQL Server), administers operating systems
(Windows/Linux), and maintains basic security and recovery
procedures such as performing patches and system backups. +
Administrate infrastructure including but not limited to: servers,
zero clients, malware protection software, HBSS, syslog servers,
databases, etc. + Under general supervision, solve complex problems
requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.
+ Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve
processes + Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced
functionality and/or security issue resolution. + Author and/or
review configuration change requests and attend all configuration
change review board meetings. + Identify potential risks or
inefficiencies associated with the configuration of the system and
recommends appropriate mitigation strategies. + Ensure compliance
with data security policies, relevant legal and regulatory
requirements, and TRMC cyber security program implementation plans
in accordance with TRMC directives and applicable RMF requirements.
+ Monitor system daily and respond rapidly to security or usability
concerns. + Creates and verifies backups of data. + Work with key
stakeholders in the A&A team to confirm that the system
documentation reflects the current security configuration of the
system, in terms of hardware and software components, data flow,
interconnections, and ports, protocols, and services + Provide TRMC
ISSM cyber security reports, conduct scans and maintain system. +
Ensure changes and improvement actions are documented and
implemented as required. + Ensure compliance with protection
requirements, control procedures, incident management reporting,
remote access requirements, and system management for all systems
under scope. + Provide remote access technical support to remote
test-bed users + Provide network performance analysis and metrics +
Provide technical guidance and edits for the KM Team Standard
Operating Procedures + Manage PKI in an active directory
environment + Manage VM VCenter server and Security Server + Ensure
ACAS scanner can access, scan, and report results on all systems in
the enclave. + Complete quarterly Security Technical Implementation
Guide (STIG) checklists System Administrators of all seniority
levels are encouraged to apply and will be considered. Experience
can be substituted for education. There is 25% travel expected for

Required Qualifications: ?+ Clearance: Must have an active Secret
clearance. + Bachelor's Degree OR 8 years additional experience in
lieu of degree + Must have experience working in a DoD environment.
+ Five (5) years Windows Server systems administration experience +
Three (3) years of technical experience in support of information
assurance/network protection or virtualization projects. + VMWare
Certified Professional (VCP) certification, preferable Desktop and
Mobility + Linux systems administrator experience + Experience in
Engineering, Systems Analysis, Information Assurance, Web
Development, or Engineering Management to include: Systems
Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems / Equipment Support, and
Test and Evaluation. + DoD 8570 certifications (Security+ or
equivalent) + Skills using Microsoft Office applications to build
reports + Ability to read and understand server / systems logs and
produce meaningful issue analysis. Preferred Qualifications: +
VMWare VCenter Security Server experience + MacAfee Host Based
Security System (HBSS) experience + RedHat and / or CentOS
experience + The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining
systems within a DoD Risk management Framework (RMF) accredited
environment, have a strong background in the setup, configuration,
and maintenance of virtualization environments (ESXi, VMware
Horizon View, RedHat), a strong Windows and Linux administration
skills, have a good understanding and experience maintaining zero
clients, and Active Directory / LDAP, and must enjoy working on and
