Job Description:
Job DescriptionThis client requires that all employees,
temporary workers, and contractors be fully vaccinated by January
4, 2022, or prior to employment.Position Summary:Provide technical
support, advice and consultation to customers on maintenance,
troubleshooting, logistics, training, operational characteristics
and other aircraft related subjects. Participates in, and conducts
technical training programs. Determine training objectives. Write
training programs, including outline, text, handouts, tests, and
design laboratory exercises. Must stay abreast of FAA regulations.
Develops methods and materials for training, including classroom,
computer, and simulator sessions. Provide class lectures on safety,
installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and
aircraft parts, following outline, handouts and texts. Administers
written and practical exams and writes performance reports to
evaluate trainees' performance. Familiar with a variety of the
field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience
and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of
complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.Primary
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and advice to the customer on maintenance,
troubleshooting, logistics, training, operational characteristics
and other aircraft related subjects.
- Carry out periodical visits to all Bases.
- Focus on Company's Integrated Customer Services (ICS) attention
and provide liaison on all matters pertaining to the aircraft as
well as assist the customer's personnel in assuring a smooth
introduction into service.
- Provide assistance in the troubleshooting and defect data
retrieval, in particular by means of Unsatisfactory Condition
Reports (UCR).
- Assist in obtaining adequate answers to all technical
queries.
- Provide direction to operator's personnel in the proper use and
interpretation of technical publications.
- Advise in the application of maintenance programs.
- Provide guidance in the operation and maintenance of ground
support equipment.
- Keep ICS management advised of all operator's aircraft
activities and problems through regular, timely and accurate
reports.
- Analyze maintenance and operation difficulties and recommend
changes to present procedures to improve the quality of the
operation.
- Assist in the embodiment of modifications (Service
Bulletins).
- Provide orientation and on-the-job training to the operator's
personnel.
- Accomplish fleet operation and maintenance data
collection.
- Coordinate with ADS, Spain engineering the preparation of
repair schemes and assisting with the accomplishment on the
aircraft.
- Develop training course material and structure for various
training courses
- Teach C-212 and CN-235 Maintenance Training Courses as required
by the FAA and/or our customers and in support of new
customers
- Teach C-212 and CN-235 Pilot Ground School Training
Courses
- Respond to all Government-issued Training RFP or FRQ
solicitations
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting expertise to
all ADS (Airbus Defense & Space) Spain owner/operators as needed in
order to help them maintain and operate their aircraft
- Be the intermediary representative between the owner/operator
and the various departments within ADS Spain; equally representing
both parties to resolve conflict, expedite resolutions to problems,
and enhance mutual relationships
- Be the intermediary representative between the owner/operator
and vendor whose product is used on our aircraft
- Be the intermediary representative between ADS Spain and any
U.S. vendor to resolve misunderstanding, provide solutions to
problems and provide data when necessary
- Support all marketing efforts as required in order to:
- Provide the technical response for any solicitations (RFI, RFQ,
RFP)
- Provide maintainability data and expertise for potential
customer presentations
- Evaluate the maintenance and operational capabilities and
limitations of potential customers and provide this analysis to the
Marketing Department
- Provide technical support for any customer demo flights as
requested by marketing. When accompanying the aircraft, this
includes the maintenance responsibility/duties required to support
our company aircraft while it is away from base
- Visit the owner/operator on a periodic basis to better
understand their unique problems and concerns, providing an
opportunity for the owner/operator to enhance their relationship
with the aircraft manufacturer
- Assist in developing solutions (i.e.; training, direction,
data) that will resolve any deficiencies identified from periodic
customer visits
- Perform factory maintenance training for new operators and
other customers as contracted. This training shall include
material, teaching aids, aircraft systems, proper operational
procedures, use of manuals and the factory maintenance program,
etc.
- Interface with the FAA on behalf of the operators and ADS Spain
in order to:
- Ensure prompt resolution of any problems between the operator
and local FAA
- Provide input for a better understanding of various problems
and issues between FAA Certification branch and ADS Spain
- Help format any pending Airworthiness Directives to ease the
implementation process
- Assist in getting our aircraft listed on a new customer's
operating certificate
- Provide recommendations to correct errors in various ADS
publications
- Assist in accident investigation as required:
- Provide instructions and data to investigating authorities
- Represent Airbus and participate in each engine, propeller, or
component tear-down
- Present customer requested/recommended aircraft modifications
or product improvements to ADS Spain
- Conduct operator surveys as requested on behalf of ADS Spain
- Provide on-site assistance to Company owners/operators as
needed during installation of Service Bulletins.
- Act as a positive role model in all aspects of professional
performance.
- Observe safety procedures and personnel policies.
- Regular attendance is required as outlined in The Company's
attendance policy.Note: This position may require the employee to
be on call or otherwise accessible by phone or email on short
notice. For this reason, it may be required to carry and
participate in the company's corporate cell phone program (Bring
Your Own Device - BYOD - or monthly stipend).Qualified Experience /
Skills / Training:Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering,
Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Technology or equivalent.
- 5 - 10 years' experience in an aviation technical support,
trouble-shooting environment.
- Minimum 4 years experience in developing aviation/aircraft
training materials, conducting training and evaluating
training.
- Computer literate: MS Project, MS Office Suite, and various CAD
programsKnowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Must possess systematic troubleshooting skills in the following
areas:
- Aircraft Electrical
- Avionics
- Hydraulic Systems
- Turbine Engines / Propeller Systems
- Mechanical Interface
- Must possess excellent communication and problem resolutions
skills.
- Good working knowledge of CFR 14 Federal Aviation Regulation
required.
- Advanced Aircraft Systems knowledge.
- FAA Airframe & Power-Plant License or equivalent in aircraft of
similar category as CN-235 is plus.
- Computer literate: MS Office Suite.
- Successful track record of working with teams and possess the
ability to communicate successfully with staff at all
levels.Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing,
Proficiency in Other Languages):
- Strong communication skills to professionally communicate with
coworkers, management and customers.
- Effective use of English language, both oral and written is
required for technical communication.Travel Required:
- 30% Domestic and InternationalEligibility:
