It's an exciting and challenging mission, filled with purpose.Join us and prepare to build and grow your own expertise, as we prepare ourselves and our customers for the mission ahead.We are looking for an experienced Information Technology Specialist to provide courteous and prompt technical support to local and remote staff for issues with computers, network, software, firmware and peripherals by utilizing a ticket system for acknowledgement, diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolving basic to advanced issues. The successful candidate combines a broad technical skillset and an ability to function independently with little supervision.
As an Avalex Information Technology Specialist, you will...

  • Complete technical troubleshooting of computer hardware and software issues in a timely manner
  • Provide support of devices running various operating systems including Windows, iOS, MacOS and Linux
  • Update relevant IT ticketing system to record customer interactions, technical steps taken, comments and complaints
  • Install and configure software and hardware as needed
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of documents into the electronic document system
  • Schedule new installs/relocation of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Service telecommunications equipment by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment as needed
  • Re-image Windows 10 laptops and desktops for replacement / redeployment (In-Office)
  • Participate in after-hours IT emergency/urgent requests as needed
  • Respond, resolve, or escalate all service requests and incidents following established procedures
  • Deliver first and second level technical support to end-users in person, over the phone, via e-mail and Microsoft Teams by reviewing and documenting issues as well as offering resolutions
    If your experience, skill set and knowledge meet the following qualifications, we're excited to speak with you:
    • Associate Degree or two-year technical certificate in a computer related field and two years of experience in PC support or helpdesk environment; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements
    • Relevant CompTIA & Microsoft IT certifications preferred
    • Office 365 Admin experience preferred
    • One or more years of Customer Service experience
    • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows, Mac and mobile platforms
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task & adapt to changing priorities quickly
    • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong customer service skills
    • Ability to remotely resolve technical issues and clear understanding of elevated permissions, registry changes and Active Directory
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends (rare)
    • Willingness to learn and ambitious to take on new and difficult challenges
