Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description Position: Housekeep ing Supervisor FLSA Class: Hourly Non-Exempt Reports to: Assistant General Manager/General Manager Job Summary: A Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience while evaluating guest room and public areas for property cleanliness and quality control he /she can help in setting department targets and objectives in absence of the Executive Housekeeper and assisting his/her direct supervisor in all areas of the housekeeping department. Duties and Responsibilities: ? Oversee housekeeping operations in the hskp manager absence ? Inspect assigned rooms and ensure they are cleaned to standards ? Oversee Laundry Operations ? Ensure everyone in the department is trained and using Quore on a daily basis ? Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules ? Inspect, regularly, all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance to standards and take action as necessary to conform to standard ? Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping/Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork ? Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities ? Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers ? Ensure staffing levels cover business demands ? Ensure ongoing training ? Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures ? Recruit, manage, train and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team ? Complete linen inventory for the hotel ? Maintains data and information for property management systems ? Assist other departments wherever necessary ? Be a Brand Ambassador of A&R’s Culture, Mission and Values . Required Skills and Experience: ? At least 1 years of experience in housekeeping/laundry and previous experience of managing a department and or related experience ? Prior successful performance as a Housekeeper ? A high school certificate or equivalent ? Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills ? Committed to delivering high levels of customer service ? Ability to work under pressure ? Excellent grooming standards ? Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations ? Entry level , with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office ? Strong organizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills ? Strong communication skills ? A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service Other Skills Required: Physical: Must be able to stand for periods of time; ability to lift to 25 lbs.; may require frequent bending, stooping and kneeling Mathematical: Must be able to use basic mathematical techniques including percentages and ratios View all jobs at this company
