Salvage World is hiring a Full-Time (40 hours a week) Sales Associate. The shifts will be Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Saturday (9am-6pm) and Sunday 12pm-6pm. The off days will be Thursday and Friday.


Duties will include sales and customer service, merchandising, stocking and inventory, housekeeping and other retail responsibilities as assigned.


*Sales Associates*


Performs general store operational duties including cashiering, customer service, truck unloading, stocking, merchandise recovery, and light cleaning or maintenance as assigned.


1. Greets and assists customers as needed in order to maintain the highest level of customer service.

2. Maintains and operates point-of-sale systems efficiently and accurately.

3. Participates in the freight flow process including truck unloading, stocking, merchandise presentation and recovery.

4. Participates in furniture department operations including carry-outs and display assembly as needed.

5. Maintains appearance of the store's interior and exterior to company standards including light maintenance duties and cleaning.

6. Performs daily front-end maintenance including check stand cleanliness, replenishment of merchandise and supplies and floor safety. 7. Performs other tasks as assigned by Store Leadership, such as cart retrieval, shrink control and safety-related tasks.


* _*Requirements:*_

* 18 years or older and a high-school graduate (GED equivalent)

* Must have a smart phone to be able to look up and price merchandise.

* Prior retail experience Prefered (big box, specialty or dept. store)

* Must have own personal reliable transportation this may not include public transportation or transportation from family or friends.

* Must work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

* Able to work in a warehouse setting and tolerant of heat, cold and dust.

* Able to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel and lift up to 65 lbs.

* Must not use illegal drugs in any form (pre-employment screening required)

* Must have no prior criminal history (pre-employment screening required)

* Must own a smart phone and be willing to use it to look up and price the merchandise

* Basic English literacy, math, and PC skills required.

* Demonstrated decision-making, problem resolution, and interpersonal skills required.

* Must learn how to process financing applications for customers.

* Posts weekly Facebook Ad and answers Facebook questions daily.
