Collins Aerospace is looking for an Operations Team Leader to lead manufacturing operations that are supported by the assembly and paint groups for propulsion systems. You will be working in a manufacturing environment that is transitioning to a state-of-the-art facility. You will be scheduling day-to-day activities and assisting in managing and monitoring production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling, and personnel. In addition, you will have an opportunity to engage with production lines and leadership.



The position is working onsite at our Foley AL facility. Relocation assistance is available.



Primary Responsibilities



* Ensures EH&S standards are followed to company guidelines

* Ensures all quality related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.

* Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

* Assists in scheduling to ensure that production schedules are met.

* Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for a cell to optimize productivity.

* Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

* Monitors cell performance and productivity to maximize productivity.

* Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing to enhance the cell's production capabilities.

* Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.

* Participate in compliance inspection continuous improvement (CI) activities.

* Lead Continuous Improvement events that will drive safety, quality and cost effectiveness

* Perform other duties as required



Basic Qualifications



* Bachelor's degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices OR

* In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

* Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.

* Ability to demonstrate Continuous Improvement (CI) tools

* Experience with Microsoft applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

* Experience leading or providing direction to a team in a manufacturing environment.



Preferred Qualifications



* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, CORE or other CI tool

* Strong problem solving and presentation skills.
