Job Description:

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will focus on helping children develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. This role is crucial in enhancing a child's ability to be an active participant at home, in school, and in the community. By adapting the environment and using various therapies, the therapist will work to improve the child's sensory-motor and cognitive skills promoting positive growth and development. Conduct evaluations to assess the needs of children and establish treatment goals. Implement personalized intervention activities to meet the therapeutic needs of the child. Guide and educate family members and educators about accommodating and supporting the child's needs. Assess and document the child's progress towards goals on a regular basis. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to the child. Stay updated with the latest in pediatric occupational therapy techniques and technologies. In-depth knowledge of pediatric development stages and conditions affecting them Ability to create effective therapy plans Strong observational and assessment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with children and their families Problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness in managing children's activities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid and current state license in occupational therapy Preferably certified in Pediatric Occupational Therapy CPR and First Aid certifications
