Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 2, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification for an inpatient rehab position at a critical access hospital. Details - Position is at a small 20-bed critical access hospital with dual-certified acute care and swingbed units - Role is primarily outpatient but requires assisting with inpatient evaluations and 6th visits for the PTA - Average of 8 patient visits per day - Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM - No weekends or call required - Epic EMR experience required - First-time travelers are accepted Requirements - Current BLS certification from AHA is required - Must have a Mississippi state license in Physical Therapy (license required if applicable) - Minimum of 1 year recent physical therapy experience required - Experience with Epic EMR is required - Candidates must reside at least 65 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted Additional Information - Therapist may be assigned to an emergency or relief team and required to remain on-site during emergency events - Responsibilities include both outpatient and inpatient rehab duties, including evaluations and supervision visits for the PTA - All required time off must be included on profile and discussed during interview to ensure consideration - Scrubs or professional attire is required according to facility guidelines American Traveler Job ID P-665600.
