qualifications will not be considered. Care for pediatric patients
facing complex hematology and oncology conditions in a supportive,
academic medical center setting. This contract position is based in
Thomasville, NC, offering opportunities to work within both
Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (PHO) and Pediatric Adolescent Acute
(PA) care units. The role requires managing patient care for acute
cases including leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis,
diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and behavioral health overlays. Key
Responsibilities: Administer chemotherapy with adherence to APHON
standards and safely manage central lines. Conduct thorough
pediatric assessments and apply critical thinking to evolving
patient conditions. Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses,
phlebotomists, IV/VAT teams, hospitalists, intensivists, and
respiratory therapists to deliver comprehensive care. Utilize EMR
(Epic), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing systems,
and unit-specific monitors to support clinical decision-making and
patient safety. Work flexibly between Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
and Pediatric Adolescent Acute units with patient ratios of 1:3-4
and 1:4-5 respectively. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with
a minimum of 1 year acute pediatric hematology/oncology experience
for PHO or 1 year pediatric acute care experience for PA. Required
certifications include BLS and PALS; APHON chemo certification
required for PHO. Proven skills in central line management and
chemotherapy administration. Strong pediatric assessment
capabilities and critical thinking. First-time travelers with solid
