qualifications will not be considered. A unique nursing opportunity
is available for a Registered Nurse experienced in stepdown care
with a strong background in high-acuity cardiac and critical care
patients. This position supports a new progressive care unit (PCU)
in Thomasville, NC, which will evolve into an intensive care unit
(ICU) by the end of 2026. Nurses will provide care to critically
ill cardiac patients with a wide range of complex cardiovascular
diagnoses. Location Overview: Situated in North Carolina,

Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care for
cardiac and post-surgical patients including those with CHF,
STEMI/NSTEMI, arrhythmias, post-CABG, heart transplants, and
vascular surgeries. Manage advanced devices such as Swan-Ganz
catheters, Impella, and temporary pacemakers. Perform wound care,
dressing changes, chest tube and trach care, as well as managing
ventilated patients once the unit transitions to ICU. Interpret
EKGs, defibrillate, perform cardioversions, and manage complex
drips including pressors, sedatives, and cardiac medications.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses,
respiratory therapists, intensivists, and physician residents for
high-quality patient care. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years ICU or PCU experience; CVICU experience preferred.
From October 2026, ICU-specific experience required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS mandatory. Proficiency with
cardiac monitoring devices and advanced nursing interventions.
Experience with LVAD and post-cardiac transplant patients highly
desirable; training available. Additional Details: Patient ratios:
1:3-4 initially, moving to 1:2-3 in ICU transition. Technology: EMR
(EPIC), IV pumps (Alariso), and Omnicell medication dispensing.
Support staff includes CNAs and resource nurses; charge nurse does
not carry patient load. Orientation includes two shifts on the
unit. Scrub color: Royal Blue; Free parking provided. Possible
float assignments across various hospital units within scope of
