Pensacola, Florida offers Gulf Coast beaches, a vibrant arts scene, and a welcoming community—making this an excellent travel healthcare job and Florida OR tech opportunity./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Pensacola, FL 32514/n - Position: Travel OR Tech / Surgical Technologist – CVOR First Assist/n - Assignment Type: Travel assignment (13 weeks)/n - Start Date: March 4, 2026/n - End Date: June 3, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour days)/n - Hours per Week: 40/n - Unit: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) – cardiac OR and vascular surgery/n - On-Call: Weekdays and weekends as needed/n - Floating: May float to Main OR if no vascular or heart cases/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,650 - $1,770 per week/n /n/nJob Requirements/n /n - Minimum 1 year recent experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist, preferably with open heart and vascular cases/n - Ability to scrub open heart cases and serve as first assist in CVOR/n - Experience with endovascular cases is a plus (endovascular OR tech experience)/n - CST or ORT certification preferred (Certified Surgical Technologist)/n - Professional, polite demeanor with excellent patient experience skills/n - Familiarity with standard OR equipment and Meditech documentation system/n - Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, techs, and orderlies in a fast-paced surgical environment/n /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Assist surgeons as scrub tech and first assist in open heart, lung, and vascular procedures/n - Prepare and maintain sterile fields and ensure sterile technique for all surgical cases/n - Set up, handle, and account for surgical instruments and specialized CVOR equipment/n - Assistant with retraction, hemostasis, and other first assist tasks as directed by the surgeon/n - Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient case flow/n - Float to Main OR as needed based on case volume and participate in on-call rotation/n - Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (hospital-provided scrubs)/n /n/n Apply now to be considered for this Travel OR Tech – CVOR First Assist assignment in Pensacola, FL.
