We are currently seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist/Specimen Collector or Medical Assistant for our location in Crestview, FL.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Confirm patient identity, appointment time, and assign label to specimen container
• Proper handling of testing materials and packing for transport according to guidelines issued by the receiving laboratory
• Daily cleaning/disinfecting of work area and supplies
• Perform specimen collection via nasal, oral, or nasopharyngeal swab without injury or complication to patients of all ages, including children
• Adhere to federal and state compliance regulations, company policies and procedures, accrediting agency policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse laws
• All other duties as assigned Requirements include:
  • Must be computer proficient, have attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be reliable and dependable
  • Must have experience with nasal, nasopharyngeal swabs, and oral swabs
  • Display compassionate, ethical, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to learn the procedure (nasal swab and nasopharyngeal swab) for obtaining patient samples and using that skill with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • High School diploma or equivalent Strong preference will be given to applicants who have experience and/or credentials as:
