Job Description:

Candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Performing checkout tasks after patients are seen by the physician, such as scheduling follow up and diagnostic imaging appointments, collecting payments, and submitting referrals.
• Answering telephones and assisting patients with their inquiries as well as directing calls appropriately.
• Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
• Sending/receiving test results, medical records, treatment schedules, etc. to/from patient's primary physician and/or specialists via copies, fax, scanned documents, etc.
• Maintaining operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.Skills & QualificationsMulti-tasking, flexibility, telephone skills, customer service, time management, organization, attentions to detail, scheduling, professionalism, quality focus, computer literate, and proper documentation.Education & Experience
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Certificate/degree in medical office administration or 2 years of prior experience as a medical secretary/receptionist in lieu of education.
  • Have experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Drug & Background ScreeningMust pass a standard 9 panel drug screening as part of Drug Free Workplace.Benefits
