depending on experienceJob Summary:Manages one or more NEXCOM
Hospitality Group (NHG) lodging facilities to ensure performance
aligns with NHG guidelines and standards. Reports directly to an
NHG Regional Vice President.Duties and Responsibilities:NHG Program
Management duties include but are not limited to:
- Operating a professional DoD lodging facility with services
comparable to a mid-scale hotel for TDY, PCS, or leisure
guests.
- Coordinating alterations, minor construction, painting, and
preventive maintenance of NHG facilities.
- Overseeing recurring preventive maintenance programs,
maximizing funding and support for effective maintenance.
- Maintaining proper records, files, cash control, receipts, and
security of supplies, equipment, and assets.
- Conducting inspections, identifying deficiencies, implementing
corrective measures, and ensuring follow-up.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, fire, and sanitation
regulations to guarantee guest and staff safety/security.
- Coordinating with the Contract Specialist on services,
supplies, and labor following NEXCOM policies.
- Developing and managing operating and equipment budgets in
conjunction with NHG headquarters.
- Safeguarding all funds and providing financial planning to meet
program goals.
- Participating in the development and execution of business,
budget, and capital plans.
- Achieving or exceeding profit margins through accurate revenue
and expense forecasting and budget planning.
- Maintaining guest satisfaction, addressing inquiries and
complaints professionally and promptly.
- Managing services and resources at the installation level,
ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Utilizing PMS and inventory management systems to optimize
reservations, inventory, and revenue.
- Marketing NHG programs through various channels to increase
awareness and utilization.
- Managing real property resources, advising on renovations and
construction projects.
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and local authorities to
ensure guest services and vendor relations.
- Developing performance work statements for contracts and
ensuring compliance through inspections and audits.
- Maintaining accountability for inventory, assets, and fixed
property, coordinating with fiscal oversight.
- Ensuring operational costs are reimbursed when establishing
rates for support services.
- Attending training to improve operational management, service
delivery, and staff development.
- Supervising staff, managing schedules, approving leave, and
coordinating personnel matters with HR.
- Implementing NHG policies and procedures and supporting EEO
policies.
- Maintaining operations during emergencies or inclement
weather.
- Performing other duties as assigned, including filing a
Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450).Experience Requirements:Total
of 5 years, including:
- GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years in administrative, technical, or
responsible work with knowledge of operational practices,
interpersonal skills, and mature judgment.
- OR
- 1 year of academic study above high school level may substitute
for 9 months of experience, up to a 4-year bachelor's degree for 3
years of general experience.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:2 years of
progressively responsible experience in hotel/motel or
institutional management, including procurement, operational
efficiency, sanitation, finance controls, budgeting, staffing, or
related areas, demonstrating operational knowledge and
abilities.
