Job Description:
Job Overview: The Operations Manager reports to the Division
manager and is in charge of assisting the division/ area with the
intent for growth. Each division runs a business unit and the
Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Division
Manager with the profit and loss on a monthly basis with the
assistance of financial leaders. The ideal candidate will have
experience in the industrial services industry, but preferred
candidates will have leak sealing and mechanical services
experience as well as team leadership. Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
- Support the Division Manager as they manage all field services
staff (up to 10) at the divisional level
- Assist with performance management for field level technical
staff
- Review and approve scopes of work to ensure safety and quality
standards are established
- Ensure service dates and customer commitments are met
- Assist with the divisional P&L ensuring cost and
profitability levels are achieved
- Coordinate field services labor scheduling
- Establish and maintain customer relations with various levels
within the customer organization
- Support Division Manager in preparation of various reports to
provide to regional management including safety, financial,
technical, etc
- Maintain sufficient levels of stock inventory to support
business needs
- Build and maintain a cohesive and safe working environment
- Represent Colt with honesty in day-to-day duties
- Maintain Colt's values in both action and appearance
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial service, preferably in
leak sealing
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of more than 2
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the
organization
- High driven, self-motivated and well organized
- Mut be able to safely operate a vehicle and make face-to-face
customer meetings
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean
record
- Ability to adapt to ever changing schedules and priorities (24
hour emergency service)
- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in
compliance with our safety program
