Job Description:

Responsible for collaborative assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and consultation of educational activities at the unit level in a 24/7 environment. Develops, maintains, and enhances clinical, educational, and leadership skills of nursing and allied health personnel in the field of emergency management and patient care during disasters. Acts as a resource to the healthcare team with regard to new policies, procedures, equipment, and healthcare information. This individual facilitates unit-level orientation and education and tracks unit-based clinical competencies of the nursing staff on the unit. Provides leadership through activities such as committee work, community involvement, and participation in research. Nursing license required; BSN preferred. Minimum three years (3) of recent work experience as a registered nurse in an emergency or supervisory capacity or a combination of. Previous experience in clinical area required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required. Demonstrated skill in education methods and adult learning principles preferred. Current RN licensure in state of practice.
