Job Description:
Norton Lilly International is seeking a Director of Business
Development to lead and continue growth in North & Central America.
This is a great opportunity for a suitable candidate to contribute
to the achievement of the Group's strategic growth targets in the
region. Candidates should combine strong analytical skills with
strategic thinking and excellent relationship development skills to
identify & execute M&A and joint venture projects successfully.
The role will be responsible for scouting new M&A
opportunities, working closely with Ultramar's corporate business
development team, and participating actively during the integration
process, with an emphasis on the deal execution phase. Candidates
should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a
team simultaneously on multiple projects. A key to success is this
role is the ability to engage with owners of target companies and
develop positive relationships such that they will engage in a
transaction. Specific Essential Job Duties--- Identify prospective
targets through industry research, market intelligence and
networking.--- Engage with business owners and cultivate
relationships that will lead to successful outcomes--- Work closely
with the Ultramar business development team to conduct valuation
analysis, due diligence and develop business cases on prospective
targets--- Prepare decision materials for key executives--- Partner
closely with business leaders on strategy development including
identifying strategic gaps, evaluating build vs. buy options and
identifying potential acquisition targets--- Develop and monitor
pipeline development, metrics, and scorecard--- Monitor
post-acquisition performance and track key deal metrics--- Prepare
business plans to strategically assess various corporate
opportunities--- Foster external partnerships and contract
negotiations with prospective partners--- Research, gather and
disseminate competitive intelligence to assess the market--- Not

unit, company, or as directed by the CEOKnowledge, Skills &
Abilities--- Existing links with cargo owners, terminals and
shipping companies to research and identify specific needs for
logistics solutions for their business in assigned territory---
Senior strategic leadership to all business units through
commercial prospecting and closure; merger and acquisition
evaluations and approval including joint ventures, revenue sharing,
and other opportunities; mission and vision leadership for the
company and its people, and promotion of business interests---
Proven experience leading efforts to identify and cultivate
relationships with lower middle market acquisition targets---
Strong financial modeling skills including discounted cash flow
valuation, forecasting andaccretion/dilution analysis--- Deep
understanding of accounting concepts related to P&L and balance
sheets--- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint--- Direct experience in
M&A and/or investment analysis, due diligence, and transaction
execution--- Excellent project leadership as well as the ability to
prioritize multiple assignments and perform well in a fast-paced
work environment--- Strong verbal and written communication skills
and experience in creating complex presentations for senior
management--- High degree of emotional intelligenceExperience---
Five (5) + years of experience identifying and engaging with owners
of lower middle market target companies such that they are willing
to engage in discussions related to possible acquisition or,
alternatively, forming joint ventures or some other type of
mutually beneficial partnership.--- Five (5) + years of experience
leading financial planning and analysis, including a strong
background in mergers and acquisitions or completion of an analyst
program in an investment bank, transaction services or private
equity firm--- Five (5) + years of experience leading transactions
as a member of a Fortune 1000 corporate Preferred development or
private equity team.--- Three (3) + years of experience working in
the transportation, logistics and / or maritime industry--- Three
(3) + years of experience working for international companies with
operations in LATAM--- Bilingual in Spanish (written and spoken) is
a plusEducation and Additional Requirements--- Bachelor's Degree
highly preferred (advanced degree and / or certifications a plus -
MBA, HBA PhD, CFA, etc.)--- Must be willing and able to travel
regionally and internationally as required (Passport required)---
Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) card holder
preferred and/or must be able to obtain a (TWIC) within 30 days of
hire--- Requires current Driver's License with an acceptable Motor
Vehicle Record (MVR)--- Must be available to work a flexible
schedule based on business needs, including days, nights, weekends,
