Job Description:

OverviewPlan, organize and direct the Finance Department to ensure achievement of operation objectives. Collects and analyzes financial data. Prepares financial plans, reports, and forecasts. Supports the PS SBU and the OTS Division Finance DepartmentsMajor Position ResponsibilitiesLead preparation of annual location operating budget. - Assist department manager in preparation of annual department budgets. - -Analyze financial dataa; make recommendations to inprove financial and operationsl performanceBasic QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Analyze financial data; make recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.Support bid and proposal activities: maintain updated bid rates; review/approve proposals for compliance with rates and Disclosure Statement; and prepare/review the financial summaries for bid review packages and ensure accurate sales and gross margin recognition.Prepare and submit month end, quarterly and yearend closing financial reports.Leads the current estimate process.Prepare and maintain updated financial forecasts of orders, sales, gross margin, EBIT, OWC and cash.Develop, implement and maintain processes, procedures and work instructions for effective execution and documentation of assigned departmental functions.Supervises the accounting team and provides training and development.Conduct long range planning for assigned department(s); participate in location strategic and operational planning. -Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and ten years experience in related field or equivalent plus 3 years of supervisory / management experience.Language Skills: - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicMathematical Skills: - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. - Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS), C/SSR, Connx, Crystal Reports; Accounting software, MS Office Suite, Payroll systems and MS Excel Query writer
