Job Description:
THOR Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager in support of
the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast (SSGC) in Pascagoula, MS.
The individual will lead the contractor support team providing
engineering, data management, logistics, and related production
support associated with the planning, design, and construction of
ships and craft under the cognizance of the Amphibious Warfare
Program Office (PMS 377).The candidate's responsibilities may
include (but are not limited to) performing, supporting, or
supervising the following task areas:+ Directly oversee all
contractor personnel and coordinate subcontractor support for the
following major task areas: LHA(R) and Landing Craft Production
Support and Ship Design Management Support.+ Develop and adhere to
delivery schedules and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA) to
ensure customer deliverables and reporting requirements are met.+
Manage and coordinate employees, across multiple worksites and on
travel assignment, supporting contract tasking and customer
requirements.+ Prepare and update program plans, as well as monitor
progress and performance against these plans.+ Evaluate and approve
decisions that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule
of the program.+ Regularly review status of the program and
customer deliverables and Contract Data Requirements Lists
(CDRLs).+ Track program financial data and generate reports as
required.+ Interface with Government customers on a working level
to ensure quality and expectations are met, and proper procedures
are followed per the customer's instructions.Citizenship
Requirements:+ Due to the requirements of the federal contract that
this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship
will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of
employment.Security Clearance Requirements:+ Must already possess
or be able to qualify for and obtain upon hire a SECRET security
clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment.+ An
existing or interim SECRET security clearance is preferred.Required
Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:+ Highschool diploma,
GED, or equivalent.+ A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or
business discipline is highly preferred.+ Ten (10) years of
progressive, demonstrated professional experience with a major
emphasis in management and administration.+ At least four (4) years
of which are in DoD program/project management.+ Project Management
Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.+ Working
knowledge and understanding of U.S. Amphibious Assault Ships,
craft, systems, and associated warfighting characteristics and
capabilities.+ Working knowledge of Federal Government processes,
policies, and contract management.+ Advanced proficiency with
common productivity software and Microsoft Office, particularly
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.+ Excellent verbal and written
communication skills.Travel Requirements:+ This position is
anticipated to require up to 10% travel.Typical Physical Activity:+
