Job Description:

This client requires that all employees, temporary workers, and contractors be fully vaccinated by January 4, 2022, or prior to employment. Position Summary:

The Quality Conformance Manager - Standard Deployment (TEMP) will be responsible for deploying several Airbus methods related to the adherence of defined quality standards (mainly Control Plan), and will support implementation of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) framework in general for FAL US. Over the course of the position, the jobholder will support activities below:

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the Control Plan MFT (Multi-Functional Team) composed of Quality, Manufacturing Engineering (ME), and MAP Engineering), plan the governance, ensure all relevant members attend the MFT meetings
Collect all relevant Quality inputs (recurrent NCs, PPS, CPB, ...etc) from the relevant teams, for the Control Plans to be created/updated.
Collect all relevant ME (AIPI/AIPS, PFMEA, Routines..) and MAP (Definition Dossier) inputs for the Control Plan to be created/updated.
Identify process steps
Identify manufacturing operations and means used
Identify product characteristics and process parameters
Identify the criticality of the product characteristics
Prepare (pre-fill) the Control Plan Grid with relevant inputs, where possible.
Analyze the Control Plan inputs and create/update the Control Plan together with the Control Plan MFT, to define inspections, control methods and sampling plan - with actors for each activity.
Release the created/updated Control Plan to ME for shop-floor documentation (update of WOs, SOIs, QSOIs... where applicable).
Confirm with ME that the released Control Plan is implemented in shop-floor documentation, (update of WOs, SOIs, QSOIs... where applicable).
Record the MFT meeting outcomes (Minutes,...)

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Preferred: Degree in Aeronautical/Industrial Engineering

Required: Minimum 5 years, preferably with an international aviation company in Aircraft Manufacturing/ Quality/Lean Management/ Quality Inspection of entire Aircraft or Aircraft installations

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Good Knowledge about non-conformance management and Root Cause Analysis methods within Airbus.
Knowledge of APQP
Strong and effective Practical Problem Solving skills (demonstrable).
Understanding of Kaizen approach to Manufacturing.
Knowledge of the Production process and build cycle.
Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing
Knowledge of aircraft mechanical & electrical installation.
Familiar with the American aviation market, its Airlines and Airline Representatives
Ability to quickly understand procedural and technical documents.
Strong communication skills through all levels of the organization and Functions.

Physical Requirements:
Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.
Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg.
Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
