Job Description:
Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Maintenance
Technician for our location in Bay Minette, AL. As a Maintenance
Technician, you will use your knowledge to provide electrical
maintenance and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems in
our facility. The use of blueprints, schematics, small/power tools
and electronics test equipment will be used to perform a variety of
maintenance tasks. Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary,
is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of
concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission,
distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of
innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has
helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry
standards and specifications. What you'll do: Troubleshoot
breakdowns on production equipment and mechanical components
Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and
mechanical components, including basic pneumatics and hydraulics
Read schematics - pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical Perform
preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and
components Move/install equipment Perform high voltage electrical
repairs (e.g., controls, relays) Maintain and complete all required
records Follow all safety rules and practices Perform other duties
as assigned What you’ll need: Minimum of 4 years of experience
Basic troubleshooting/3 Phase/equipment up to 600v The ability to
wire electrical panels The ability to install equipment The ability
to maintain good attendance Experience with rebuilding and aligning
bearings and housings Experience installing, mounting and aligning
electric motors
