evolving global market. We are looking for an MRB Engineer in the
field of composite and metallic aerospace structures to join our
team. This position will evaluate nonconforming material for
acceptability and reparability to ensure airworthiness of the
components. During the evaluation, the MRB Engineer will consider
many aspects that would apply to the discrepant component for
example: functional interfaces, structural integrity, metallurgical
and mechanical properties, aerodynamics, future operator and
maintenance requirements, weight impact, cosmetic appearance, etc.
Upon review of the nonconformance and the component or system
requirements, the MRB Engineer will provide written disposition for
the hardware. In instances where the nonconformance is unacceptable
and the component cannot be used as-is, the MRB Engineer will
provide written rework or repair instructions necessary to rectify
the noncompliant condition and return the component to a
serviceable condition. All rework or repair instructions will be
detailed and must include the necessary inspection methods and
acceptance criteria. This position will work onsite in Foley, AL.

Obtains customer approval for Material Review Board authority
through training and substantiated evidence of knowledge of
relevant materials, structures, requirements. Design repairs for
damaged hardware utilizing modeling tools such as Catia to restore
the design intent of aerostructures components both composite and
metallic. Help to support existing product line design activities
and/or operational process modifications to help enhance products
and processes and ensure that current and future business needs are
met. Interface with customers in communicating repairs and
justifying decisions. Support manufacturing to help troubleshoot
technical issues that arise on the floor Work with Materials and
Process engineers to interpret specifications and advise
manufacturing on relevant issues Supporting Quality on root cause
corrective action to eliminate repetitive issues and help to
standardize the manufacturing processes Interfaces with fellow MRB
engineers, structures design engineers, engineering management,
operations, shop floor personnel, and external vendors. Assists
senior technical staff in cross-discipline technical initiatives
involving design, quality, equipment, testing and Materials &
Process engineers. Participates in process improvement and
continuous improvement activities. Implements results of lean
manufacturing initiatives. Participates in digital manufacturing
solutions with support from digital subject matter experts
Coordinates with subject matter experts (stress, design, fire and
safety etc.) to obtain appropriate consent for necessary defects
and damages. Provides technical leadership and helps train
lower-level staff to diagnose and solve problems and build
capabilities. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a
degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree
in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience Familiar with
PLM and ERP systems such as Teamcenter and SAP Qualifications We
Prefer: Prior MRB experience Aerospace experience Experience
working with manufacturing and assembly operations environments.
Experience with Composite and Metallics materials Stress/structural

165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
