Critical success factors for this role include the ability to collaborate across multiple functions, design products to engineering code requirements, and implement creative and innovative ideas into new productsWhat Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be---MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITYDevelopment of mobile transport productsDevelopment of P&IDs for cryogenic transportsPerforming calculations to support the transport product line and development of new products including structural, weight distribution, fluid flow, and thermodynamicComponent and part selection and validationGeneration and ongoing support of bill of materialsDevelopment and execution of test plansAssisting with prototype buildsResearch and investigation of code requirementsWork with team to develop documentation to support the 5 phase development process and risk management activitiesOTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIESProblem solving and support with hydrogen transport product lineDevelopment of end of line testing planCreation of product documentation including manuals and cutsheetsSupporting customer inquiriesYour Education Should Be---BS Mechanical Engineering Degree or other engineering degreeStrongly preferred: PE certificationMS degree is a plusYour Physical Work Environment Will Require---Office environmentManufacturing environment including outdoor testingWork related travel may be required (approx. 10% maximum)Frequent standing, sitting, walkingFrequent computer workProduction floor environment will involve possible exposure to materials with rough edges, temperature extremes, moving mechanical parts, occasional flying debris, chemical cleaning solvents and their odors.Liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen testingYour Professional Experience Should Be---ExperiencePreferred: 3-5 years of experience in hydrogen applicationsPreferred: 3-5 years of experience with cryogenic applications3-5 years experience in product developmentP&ID developmentDevelopment of equipment to engineering code standardsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of cryogenicsExperience with product testingCryogenic and/or mobile product experience preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsHighly motivated self-starter and a team leaderProficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPointProficient with Solidworks and/or AutoCADChart is an equal opportunity employer
