GBPA is still pending final DHR licensing. Expected opening is January 2023. Grand Bay Preparatory Academy of Success is a full-service early childhood development and education facility. We are not a "day care", we are an early preparatory school. Our students will be introduced at a very early age to science, cultures and foreign language, art and music, etiquette practices, and much more. We offer a variety of services including infant and toddler care, preschool, before and after school care, van pickup and drop-off, evening care, weekend care (coming soon), holiday care, a summer camp, a drop-in service, tutoring for school-age children, and an in-home sitter service (coming soon).We are hiring for the following positions:_ Lead Teacher _ : Has some limited supervisory responsibility. The Lead Teacher reports directly to the Center Director. He or she assists in the growth and development of children. The lead teacher will assist the other teachers in developing lesson plans, supervising academic and emotional development, maintaining open communication with parents, and helping with children transitions. The lead teacher cannot hire, fire, or participate in disciplinary action, however he or she may report any incident to the Center Director who will then make the proper response. The lead teacher must have a minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Studies or at least 30 hours of undergraduate credit work leading to a degree. A minimum of 6 months teaching experience is required. A CDA will suffice with experience._ Preschool Teacher _ : Reports to the Center Director. Follows the provided curriculum and creates lesson plans that are to be approved the administrators. Responsible for the care and education of children between the age of 3 and 5 years old. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment._ Toddler Teacher _ : Reports to the Center Director. Follows the provided curriculum and creates lesson plans that are to be approved the administrators. Responsible for the care and education of children between the age of 18 months and 3 years old. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment._ Infant Teacher _ : Reports to the Center Director. Follows the provided curriculum and creates lesson plans that are to be approved the administrators. Responsible for the care and education of children between the age of 6 weeks and 18 months. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment._ Floater/After School Teacher _ : Reports to the Center Director and the Creative Director. Follows the provided curriculum and creates lesson plans are to be approved the administrators. Responsible for the care and education of school age children. Relieves breaks at the beginning of his or her shift by watching children and ensuring they remain safe and comfortable as they sleep._ Assistant Teacher/Aide _ : Reports to the Center Director. Assists the assigned teacher in implementing the daily operations of the classroom. May be asked to work in multiple classrooms or in other areas as needed. GBPA is still pending final DHR licensing. Expected opening is January 2023.
