Position Overview The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including commercial, educational, medical, retail, multi-family, and restoration. The ideal candidate will ensure that estimates are completed on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of projects. Key Responsibilities Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope. Research and analyze market pricing for materials and labor to ensure competitive and accurate estimates. Prepare and submit detailed proposals and cost estimates for review and approval. Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and enhance estimating processes. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and clarify project specifications. Review and interpret contracts and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy in estimates. Continuously update and maintain estimating databases and software to reflect current market trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Experience with estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
