• High School Diploma/ GED or Equivalent
• 3 - 5 years Hospital UB04 Billing Experience, preferably Medicare.
• Recent working knowledge in Medicare DDE System.
• Knowledge of WPS website, to include ADR Reviews, uploading medical records, searching appeals and reviewing claims.
• Working knowledge of CMS LCD's for tests/procedures performed.
• Experience in billing Medicare Part A or Medicare Part B benefits for services, and billing claims with a cost outlier.
• Working knowledge of how to calculate Medicare hospital days, co-days and lifetime reserve days.
• Knowldge & experience with Medicare billing claim edits, billing 72 hour overlap claims, clinical trials, and Medicare/Hospice claims.
• Should have an understanding & knowledge of how to resolve rejections & denials from payer and clearinghouse.
• All employees are required to be vaccinated or provide a valid medical or religious exemption.
