Job descriptionAbout Gulf CableGulf Cable has set up a state-of-art, brand new 250,000 square feet manufacturing facility. Our factory has modern equipment and state-of-art processes.Website: Position: Plant Controller Position type: Full-Time Position location: Milton, FL Essential FunctionsResponsible for accurate set up of plant standard costs.Manage all the functions and aspects of cost accounting.Maintain effective working relationship with external vendors and service providers.Able to develop and maintain a system of internal controls.Provides financial support to plant level and executive management regarding ongoing plant improvement projects.Recommends process improvements and works with management and staff to identify cost optimization.Provide cost forecasting and analysis.Provide thought leadership and insight on achievement of plant key performance metrics with a strong focus on cost reduction and improved operating efficiencies.Manage initiatives such as capital appropriations, new product development, and plant utilization/capacity/asset management issues.Provide financial leadership while supporting operations through reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting and investment/returns analysis.Inventory control & reporting to include physical inventories, reserve analysis, cycle count programs.Cost accounting with Job performance analysisBudgeting and strategic planningSkills & QualificationsAt least 10 years' experience in accounting; with at least 5 years experience in a similar roleBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredProficiency with MS OutlookStrong knowledge of US GAAP and manufacturing industry accounting standardsCost accounting experienceProficiency in budgeting and forecasting techniquesStrong analytical skillsGood planning and organizational skillsAbility to build relationships with executive leaders, peers and staffhighly collaborative & Team playerBenefitsWe offer our employees a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes a comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental Plan, Company paid Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k) Plan, and Education/Certification assistance.Gulf Cable LLC. is an equal opportunity.
